18x Super-Telephoto Zoom

Designed for use with 2/3" broadcast camcorders, the compact, full-servo CJ18ex28B IASE T 2/3" UHDGC Super-Telephoto Lens from Canon features HDR dynamic range and super-telephoto versatility for ENG, nature, and sports capture. It offers an 18x zoom ratio, and a focal length range of 28-500mm and 56-1000mm using the built-in 2x extender.

Up to 1000mm Telephoto Capture

Ideal for wildlife capture and other long-range shots, this super-telephoto lens enables up to 1000m focal lengths.
The CJ18ex28B IASE T zoom shares the same compact, lightweight design as Canon's conventional portable HD lenses.

Excellent Optical Performance

The CJ18ex28B IASE T zoom lens maintains 4K resolution from the center of the image to the outer edges. High-index optical glass materials with unique dispersion characteristics help to minimize chromatic aberrations and geometric distortion. Special coatings and an anti-reflective internal lens barrel result in clean black reproduction and minimal ghosting and flaring. This lens supports the wider ITU-R BT.2020 color gamut, and its optical dynamic range meets current HDR imaging requirements.

eXs-V Digital Drive Unit

The new included eXs-V digital drive unit exceeds the high standards required by video professionals. Thanks to improved servo control, a repositioned information display, and USB-C connectivity for easier set-up and maintenance, the eXs-V drive enhances the current and future Canon lineup of portable broadcast lenses.
The angled connector lets you place your camera on a flat surface while a 20-pin lens cable is connected.
A faster servo than the previous drive unit enables a more responsive iris, which, along with the renowned focus and zoom speeds, optimizes the eXs-V drive for sports broadcasts and live events.

ARIA Support

This versatile zoom supports the Sony ARIA function (Automatic Restoration of Illumination Attenuation), adjusting your frame's illumination so that light is more evenly distributed between the wide and the telephoto ends of the lens.
