The Hotshot DM1 Microphone Switcher from Radial Engineering is a durable and useful mic signal splitter and mute switch that enables vocalists to depress a temporary footswitch and mute their mic to redirect the signal either to an intercom system, stage monitor, or alternate signal chain. This handy stage accessory gives great flexibility for stage communication or signal control while remaining incredibly easy to use and taking up minimal space.
The DM1 is constructed of heavy-duty 14-gauge steel and has a number of useful applications onstage from muting a mic for coughing, to redirecting the signal for communication with stage crew or band members, to activating separate channels with unique FX chains like echo and reverb. The temporary footswitch only affects the signal while depressed, and returns normal routing upon release, while a convenient ground-lift switch can be used to eliminate pesky ground hum on the output. No matter the application, the Hotshot DM1 is an incredibly useful tool for any vocalist, stage performer, or public performance venue.
