The Sennheiser EW-D SK is a physical digital wireless transmitter compatible with the EW-D wireless receiver. Lightweight and comfortable for actors and actresses, this backpack features a sturdy all-metal case that's perfect for everyday use on stage. The
EW-D SK has a locking 3.5mm connector to accommodate your choice of lavalier or headset microphones, or adapter cables for guitar and bass. Its inputs have a unique dynamic range of 134 dB and can handle a variety of settings without modification, including popular singers and actors, connection to instruments, and even a line level signal from the mixer.
This unit has a sound system that can be turned off and masked by a receiver or cell phone during the show. With the push of a button, it quickly syncs with the receiver via Bluetooth at a distance of up to 120 feet. In addition, the EW-D SK has a balanced line link with 2240 frequencies evenly distributed over a wide 56 MHz bandwidth to avoid disruptive interference problems when multiple transmitters are operated in a closed environment. The
EW-D SK can be set up and remotely controlled within 120 feet from the receiver via Bluetooth or the Smart Assist app installed on an iOS/Android phone/tablet.
The
transmitter operates for up to 8 hours on two AA batteries or up to 12 hours with the BA 70 Li-Ion rechargeable battery pack (sold separately).
BA 70 battery requires L70 USB Dual Charging Station (sold separately).
Note: The EW-D SK is not backwards compatible with previous evolution systems.
