Based on the , the Neutrik NC3 is a 3-pole Male XLR cable connector designed to provide enhanced RF screening. It is suitable for situations such as live performances and recording, in which problems with radio transmission or mobile-phone interference may occur. It helps reject these problematic and disruptive aspects by introducing a circular capacitor around the cable shield. This capacitor acts as a filter, cutting off signals around 10 MHz. In order to boost RF rejection even further, a 24-Ohm / 1 kHz EMI-suppression ferrite bead between Pin-1 and the cable screen provides additional filtering.
