The AK-PLV100 4K CINELIVE 4K Studio Camera from Panasonic combines the operability of a studio camera with the ability to use cine-style lenses for shallow depth-of-field looks. Its VariCam heritage offers features like a cinematic look, a V-Log profile, and dual native ISOs for nuanced capture in a range of light levels. Equipped with a large-format 5.7K Super35 sensor, this ARRI PL-mount camera can switch from cinematic 24p capture to broadcast-style 30p capture.
Designed for studio use, the AK-PLV100 camera does not incorporate a recorder, instead it outputs video via its LEMO SMPTE fiber optic, 12G-SDI, or 3G-SDI connectors. It captures up to 59.94 frame rates and can output 12G-SDI signals directly from the camera head without the need for a CCU. Compatibility with 2/3" studio systems enables you to maintain a base set of components that can be used with different camera heads chosen according to your desired output.
Cine-Style Shallow Depth of Field
Thanks to a 5.7K Super35 sensor and an ARRI PL lens mount, the AK-PLV100 can produce cine-style shallow depth of field effects while maintaining the operability of a studio camera.

CCU-Free Basic Operation
Works with 2/3" Camera Components
Compatibility with Panasonic's 2/3" studio-camera system components enables the use of CCUs, ROPs, and other accessories. With this new concept for live production, you can select a camera head according to the desired concept while using the same system base.
Broadcast and Cinema Rates
The AK-PLV100's frame rate is switchable to cinematic 24p/30p frame rates when using a 60p system, enabling it to easily switch between a 24p/30p look and a standard broadcast 60p look.
Image Magnification
A digital extender with signal-processing circuitry provides 2x image magnification for those shots where you just can't get closer enough.
Focus Assist
Focus assistance including red peaking, magnification, and a focus square helps provide fast, accurate focusing.
Motorized ND Filters
The motorized clear, 1/4, 1/16, and 1/64 ND filters can be selected on the camera or controlled remotely.
12-Axis Color Correction
Access to built-in 12-axis color correction and a linear matrix enables fine tuning of your image's hue and saturation.
