The camera can detect your distance and position in the room, using features to auto-adjust picture brightness and audio placement to optimize your movies, TV shows, and games. When it comes to new abilities, you can use the BRAVIA CAM to control the TV with simple gestures, keep your child at a safe viewing distance, or save electricity when you leave a room. More importantly, you can use the camera like a camera! The camera, dual integrated mics, and your TV's internet connection allow you to make video calls to friends and family on the big screen.

The BRAVIA CAM works with the following 2022 Sony BRAVIA TVs: Z9K, X95K, A95K, A90K, A80K, X90K, X85K, and X80K.

Installation & Privacy

The BRAVIA CAM installs easily with a simple USB Type-A connection to your compatible BRAVIA TV. When you want some privacy, you can use the built-in switch to slide a physical cover over the camera lens.

Ambient Optimization Pro

This feature detects where you're sitting in the room and automatically optimizes the TV's picture and audio to provide the best possible experience. If you're sitting close, the TV brightness and volume will be lowered, or raised if you're sitting farther away. When it comes to audio clarity, the left/right balance is adjusted so audio is directed towards you, and voice zoom is adjusted to make dialogue more understandable.

Gesture Control

Put the remote down and use simple physical gestures to intuitively change channels, adjust volume, and more.

Proximity Alert

Protect your child's eyesight by setting up a proximity alert. You select the distance from the camera/TV that you don't want your child closer than. When they pass that distance and get too close, an overlay notification is displayed on the screen to remind them to back up.

Auto Power Saving Mode

Electricity can get expensive, so save what you can with Auto Power Saving Mode. This feature knows when you're not in front of the TV and will automatically darken the display. So, you can save power every time you get a drink, make a snack, or answer the front door.
