Well suited for instrument recording, the Sony ECM-100N is a high-resolution, small diaphragm electret-condenser microphone with low distortion and noise. The 17mm diaphragm delivers a wide and flat frequency response of 20 Hz to 50 kHz. The two-part metallic body utilizes the same noise elimination construction employed by Sony's C800G microphone, which prevents acoustic vibration and ensures low noise and clear sound.
A 30 Hz low cut filter helps tame low frequency rumble, while the -10dB pad maximizes headroom and minimizes distortion caused by transient peaks. The Sony ECM-100N ships with a microphone clip, wind screen, mic stand adapter, and carrying case.
