The HKDW-705 Slow Shutter Board from Sony is an optional internal board that allows you to slow the shutter speed down to a 64-frame period on HDW Series digital camcorders. It is specifically designed to work with models HKDW-750, HKDW-750P, and HKDW-730S.

When the shutter speed is slowed, electrical charges accumulate on the camera's CCD, dramatically increasing light sensitivity. This effect allows you to shoot in extremely dark environments or may be used to achieve create blur affects with moving objects. Using this board, the shutter speed can also be adjusted to 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 7-, 8-, 16-, and 32-frame periods.
