The Sound Devices SL-2 is a rugged, lightweight, and compact dual SuperSlot wireless module that enables smooth integration of wireless receivers with your Sound Devices 833, 888, or Scorpio mixer/recorder. It mounts atop your recorder, connects directly to it, and receives power from it, making it a great addition to a production sound bag.
The SL-2 accepts two UniSlot or SuperSlot wireless receivers and supports four audio channels per slot. It can utilize analog or digital audio from the in-slot receivers. Two TA3 inputs are provided on the rear panel to accommodate four channels of AES3 digital audio. Equipped with two MCX antenna ports and two Hirose 4-pin DC outputs, the SL-2 offers antenna and power distribution with up to 500mA per port.
Use the menus on your Sound Devices 8-Series mixer/recorder to access wireless receiver functions such as RF scan, receiver setup, RF frequency adjustment, transmitter status, RF and audio level monitoring, transmitter recording status, and more (available features vary according to receivers).
