The Tiffen 4 x 5.65" Black Diffusion/FX 1 Filter helps to make bright light coming into the camera softer and creates a glowing look. The photo that comes out looks gentler and dreamy, but you can still see things clearly. This filter spreads the light in a special way to make a soft glow instead of a sharp and clear picture. The 1 level of softening is more than the 1/2, but not as much as the 2.

Tiffen makes these filters using ColorCore technology. They put two pieces of glass together very carefully, making them super flat and only 1/10,000th of an inch apart. This filter is about 4 x 5.65" in size, which is around 101.6 x 143.5mm.
