The Tiffen 4 x 5.65" Gold Diffusion/FX 1/2 Filter helps to soften bright light coming into the lens and creates a glowing look. The picture that comes out seems gentler and dreamy, but you can still see things clearly. This filter spreads the light in a special way to make a soft glow instead of a sharp and clear picture. Along with the softening, a touch of gold color is added to the picture, making it warmer and helping skin tones look nice. The 1/2 level of softening is more than the 1/4, but not as much as the 1.

Tiffen makes these filters using ColorCore technology. They carefully put two pieces of glass together, making them super flat and only 1/10,000th of an inch apart. This filter is about 4 x 5.65" in size, which is around 101.6 x 143.5mm.
