The Tiffen 4 x 5.65" Gold Diffusion/FX 1/4 Filter helps soften strong light coming into the lens and creates a glowing effect. The result is a picture that looks gentle and dreamy, without losing clarity or details. This filter spreads the light entering the lens in a special way, making the image look soft and not as sharp as without the filter. Along with the softening, a touch of gold color is added to the picture, making it warmer and helping skin tones look good. The 1/4 level of softening is a bit less than the 1/2.

Tiffen makes these filters using ColorCore technology. They carefully put two pieces of glass together, making them super flat and only 1/10,000th of an inch apart. This filter is about 4 x 5.65" in size, which is around 101.6 x 143.5mm.
