The beige MKE 1 Professional Lavalier Microphone from Sennheiser is a favorite among theatre professionals for its discreet size, rich and immersive sound, and moisture-resistant design.
The MKE 1 Microphone features a special membrane with many tiny holes that let air and acoustics pass through, but prevents even a drop of moisture from breaking the surface. The capsule is a mere 0.12" (3.30mm) in diameter and yet it provides full and natural sound that is well suited for theatre and broadcast applications.
With a diameter of only 0.04" (1.10mm), the MKE 1 cable provides more protection against breakage within the cable. Its thin, flexible construction and low handling noise make it easy to conceal under clothing or costumes. The cable is terminated with a 3-pin Lemo connector for use with Sennheiser 3000 and 5000 series bodypack transmitters.
