AJA’s HD10MD3 is a compact, broadcast-grade downconverter designed to translate HD-SDI signals into SD-SDI, component, and composite video formats. Utilizing a 10-bit processing path with multi-point interpolation, it delivers precise image downscaling while preserving audio integrity by passing up to four channels of embedded audio to the SD-SDI output. The unit handles 1080p24 and 1080p24sf sources by applying standard 3:2 pulldown to output smooth 59.94 Hz video. With user-configurable external DIP switches, operators can easily adjust settings on the fly, including formatting outputs to fit either 4:3 or 16:9 standard-definition monitors.
