Update your Seastars QR system with the iFootage Seastars Q1S Quick Release Updated Top Plate for improved locking and reduced wobble. The new top plate works with the QR mechanism in the same manner as the original plate that came with your Q1 system, but it features a new grub screw that improves the hold of the system, preventing wobble. The plate will mount on your camera via the 1/4"-20 mounting screw with a spring-loaded 3/8"-16 threaded sleeve, which means no more worrying about swapping screws or losing bushings.
The new plate also makes it easier to align your camera as the plate has markings that you align with the lens to ensure your camera is facing in the correct direction once the plate is installed in the QR mechanism. In addition to the grub screw, you can use a readily available 4mm Allen key to tighten the top plate on your camera or accessory.
