The Brilliant 4 x 5.65" Air Gap Diopter Rota-Split Close-Up Lens from Lindsey Optics is a unique close-up lens designed for use with 4 x 5.65" matte boxes. The 138mm +3 diopter has been cut in half and mounted in a geared rotating tray for quick and easy alignment of the split line, with a 15mm air gap in the middle. Split field diopters like this can be used for creative near/far focusing effects in your frame; the cut edge of the lens is usually aligned with an edge in the scene, such as a door frame. This hides the transition line and creates a seamless near/far effect. The rotating design allows you to control the alignment of the lens split and lines of your scene with precision and ease.
