The Matthews Mombo Combo Stand attains an impressive height of 24'. Its extra wide base carries a four-riser steel center column with a built-in combo Hollywood grip head for rigging both flags and light fixtures.
Mombo Combo stands are an essential component to a complete grip kit. They are able to greatly elevate luminaires and their modifiers in safe and secure manner. Gear is attached to the stand via either a 4.5" grip head for accepting a variety of pin sizes as well as a combination 1-1/8" junior pin receiver and retractable 5/8" baby pin. It clocks in at a beefy 48.5 lb, which establishes a solid base, even before sandbags or tie-downs are added to the rig. A wide 74" footprint provides maximum support for a stand of this kind. 1-1/4" square steel tubing forms the three legs, which additionally sports internal reinforcements enabled by Matthews's gusset assembly engineering. One of these three is classified as a Rocky Mountain leg, as it will extend to different lengths in order to safely set the stand on uneven terrain. The upper collar located underneath the stand's head incorporates convenient loops for attaching rope or safety chains. The Mombo Combo will accept optional accessories from Matthews, such as set of heavy-duty caster for use in the studio.
