The Black Backing for 33" Premio Shoot-Through Umbrella from Phottix fits over the open side of the umbrella and blocks transmission of light resulting in approximately 2 stops of neutral-colored, reflected output. With the black backing installed, the convex white part of the umbrella is pointed at the subject like a softbox, yielding slightly snappier contrast than traditional bounce umbrellas
