The 114 to 100mm ARRI R4 Screw-In Reduction Ring screws into your R2 138mm filter ring and reduces the rear opening from 114 to 100mm. This creates a light-tight seal when using a lens such as the Fujinon XS8x4mm (for the Sony PMW-EX3). This prevents light from leaking around the edge of your lens and potentially flaring the image. The reduction ring is threaded to accept available ARRI R5 reduction rings (not included), allowing you to use a variety of smaller diameter lenses with your setup.
