The Deity Theos Digital Wireless Microphone System stands out by utilizing a broad UHF spectrum instead of the congested 2.4 GHz band, offering cleaner frequencies and more stable performance. Depending on the regional kit, the system covers 550–960 MHz, giving filmmakers and sound mixers access to a wide range of usable channels.
A key advantage of the Theos system is its wireless timecode sync capability. The transmitter can be synced natively from the Deity TC‑1 timecode generator, ensuring backup WAV files align perfectly with master audio/video files in post‑production. For workflows using third‑party timecode devices, the transmitter also supports hard‑wire jam sync via 3.5mm.
The Theos system integrates seamlessly with the Sidus Audio app, enabling remote transmitter and receiver control. Users can perform frequency scanning, assign channels, coordinate multiple receivers, adjust gain staging, and trigger the backup recorder — all without physically touching the hardware. This is especially useful on busy sets or when devices are rigged in hard‑to‑reach locations.
Both the DBTX transmitter and D2RX receiver feature SMA antenna ports, allowing users to swap antennas for better tuning or replace damaged ones. This also makes the system more compact during transport.
The transmitter includes a built‑in recorder (microSD up to 128GB) for redundancy, supporting true multi‑ADC 32‑bit float recording. Note: US models of the DBTX cannot transmit and record simultaneously.
