Engineered specifically to compensate for the poor acoustics in untreated home studios and workspaces, the mic features a large-diaphragm dynamic capsule that picks up less unwanted background sources further from the mic. In addition, its supercardioid polar pattern focuses audio capture tightly on the subject directly in front of the mic, further reducing unwanted background sound and picking up less room reverberations and reflections for clearer, more intelligible speech and voiceover work.

Built to last, the VO-7U is constructed with a durable all-metal body and features a floating friction pivot for precise positioning. The capsule offers a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and can handle loud SPL levels up to 135 dB; the mic gain is adjustable and there's even a built-in analog limiter to prevent audio clipping. A 3.5mm headphone jack provides latency-free monitoring with volume control. Gamers and video streamers will appreciate the 12 unique RGB LED color effects. This version of the mic includes an adjustable boom arm designed for podcasting and streaming applications along with one USB Type-C and one USB Type-A cable—each 9.8' in length. A foam windscreen is also included to cut down on breath noise and plosives from "P" and "B" sounds.

As soon as you apply more than 50% gain to the VO-7U, the built-in hardware analog limiter kicks in to help prevent you from clipping on your stream or in your podcast. You have many things to worry about as a creator, your audio clarity shouldn't be one of them.

No adapters are needed in order to put the VO-7U on a stand as it natively supports 3/8" and 5/8" threads. So whether you're a boom arm user or you prefer a tabletop stand, the mic has you covered. This configuration of the mic includes an adjustable boom arm for podcasting and streaming.
