Acting both as a PL lens mount adapter and an interchangeable filter cradle, The Sony E to PL MOFAGE POCO Drop-In Filter Lens Mount Adapter provides a quick-swap filter platform for Sony E mount cameras. Included is a MOFAGE variable neutral density filter cartridge, making this an especially useful accessory for digital cinema and mirrorless cameras without built-in ND settings. In addition to the VND filter, this advanced kit features Black and White Mist filters for softening images and an Orange Streak filter for eye-catching effects.
Filters help to make the most out of your lenses by adding degrees of variability, but this is not always the most convenient process. While many lenses accept screw-on circular filters, it can be overwhelming to keep track of different filter sizes and configurations when using a full suite of lenses. Matte boxes are the industry standard to solve this problem, but their bulky profile can cause unwanted interference on your camera rig. To fix this the POCO adapter from MOFAGE moves its interchangeable filter system to the back of the adapter therefore adding minimal bulk. While this kit comes with pre-installed Sony E mount compatibility, the adapter ring can be swapped out for other lens mount types, making this a versatile tool for a wide range of cameras in your arsenal. Simply purchase an alternative mount type and install using the included Torx key.
Filters can be changed with a simple push of a button on the side of the adapter, and they firmly click in to ensure the safety of your equipment in high-octane production environments. MOFAGE has included a variable ND filter in this kit to assist cameras without the native light control capability, as well as multiple effects filters for expanding the creative potential of your optics. The VND filter has hard stops between ND 0.3 and 2.4, and the integrated 0.8 MOD gear can be interfaced with a follow focus motor for remote operation. Both 1/4 and 1/8 versions of the Black and White Mist filters come packaged in this advanced kit. Use Black Mist to soften glares while retaining detailed shadows or the White Mist to create a washed-out low-contrast look. The Orange Streak filter replicates the signature linear flares associated with anamorphic lenses.
