The Sony FX5 combines professional Cinema Line capabilities with a compact magnesium-alloy body. Its 16.6MP full-frame stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor and BIONZ XR2 processor support high-speed image processing, detailed 5K capture and reduced rolling-shutter distortion.
Internal 16-bit X-OCN recording preserves extensive tonal and colour information, while 3:2 Open Gate capture provides additional flexibility for reframing, stabilisation and multiple delivery formats.
AI-powered autofocus recognises and tracks people, animals and birds, while five-axis sensor-shift stabilisation supports smoother handheld operation. Professional monitoring tools include waveform, vectorscope, false colour, focus map, zebra, peaking and anamorphic de-squeeze.
The FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II is a professional standard zoom covering wide-angle through short-telephoto focal lengths. Its constant f/2.8 aperture supports consistent exposure, low-light shooting and controlled depth of field throughout the zoom range.
Advanced G Master optics include ED, Super ED, aspherical and XA elements for high resolution and controlled aberrations. Four XD Linear Motors provide fast, accurate and quiet autofocus suitable for video production.
Video-focused features include reduced focus breathing, Linear Response manual focus, a de-clickable aperture ring and adjustable zoom-ring torque. The lens also features a dust- and moisture-resistant construction with a fluorine-coated front element.
The XLR-H2 expands the FX5 with professional audio inputs and improved handheld operation. It connects through the camera’s Multi Interface Shoe, providing a cable-free digital audio connection.

The handle can generate separate WAV audio files that are stored in-camera, supporting more flexible post-production workflows.
The DVF-EL1 is a dedicated high-resolution electronic viewfinder designed for the FX5. It attaches securely to the top of the camera through a proprietary connector and two 1/4"-20 mounting screws.
Its 0.58-inch OLED panel offers 7.08-million-dot resolution, 0.90x magnification, 10-bit colour support and a wide colour gamut equivalent to DCI-P3. HDR monitoring is also supported.
The viewfinder tilts upward from 0° to 90°, allowing more comfortable monitoring from different shooting positions. Its removable eyecup can be reversed for left- or right-eye use or removed for easier viewing with glasses.
The VMC-BNCU1 adapter enables the FX5 to synchronise with an external timecode source. It converts the camera’s USB-C connection to a standard female BNC connector, supporting accurate timing across multi-camera and separately recorded audio workflows.
The VSGO Black Snipe is a compact 6L messenger bag designed for carrying and organising camera equipment and accessories. Its padded main compartment includes adjustable dividers, while additional pockets provide storage for memory cards, cables, a phone and an 11-inch tablet.
The bag features water-resistant materials and zippers, an adjustable shoulder strap, a top carrying handle and bottom straps for attaching a compact tripod or other external equipment.
