The Atomos Ninja is a compact 5.2″ 4K HDMI monitor‑recorder designed for filmmakers, creators, and gamers. It supports DCI 4K60 monitoring and can record ProRes RAW up to 6K with compatible cameras. Its familiar body design ensures compatibility with existing Atomos accessories, making it easy to integrate into any workflow.
Powered by AtomOS 11, the Ninja offers a refreshed, intuitive interface with advanced monitoring tools including Focus Peaking, Zoom, Atomos & ARRI False Color, EL Zone, Safe Areas, RecordAssist, PlayBackAssist, SegmentPro, and Cine Guides. AtomHDR processing provides instant Log‑to‑HLG/PQ conversion for accurate HDR previewing.
The 5.2″ IPS touchscreen delivers 1920×1080 resolution, 1000‑nit brightness, 10‑bit processing, and Rec.709 color accuracy, with support for Calibrite ColorChecker calibration for consistent, reliable color monitoring.
The Ninja supports a wide range of Log formats from Sony, ARRI, JVC, RED, FUJIFILM, Nikon, Panasonic, and Canon. Users can load custom 3D LUTs and output HDR in Log, HLG, PQ, or Dolby Vision.
Featuring HDMI input/output, the Ninja handles DCI 4K60 for monitoring, recording, and playback. It supports 3.5K RAW at 60 fps with select cameras and RAW over HDMI up to 6K30 with more than 55 supported models. Gamers can record UHD 4K HDR gameplay directly to the Ninja for fast sharing.
Pairing the Ninja with the Atomos CONNECT module unlocks cloud workflows including C2C, Atomos Edit, RemoteView, and adds 12G‑SDI, AirGlu sync, Wi‑Fi 6, and GigE Ethernet for live streaming and HDMI↔SDI conversion. Adding AtomX CAST transforms the Ninja into a 4‑input HDMI switcher with overlays and USB UVC output.
Recording is supported via Atomos Master Caddy II/III, AtomX SSDmini, and CFAST II (with adapter). Power options include NP‑F batteries, USB‑C PD (30W), or DC input via dummy battery. Control is available through touchscreen navigation, multifunction buttons, Auto HDMI triggers, and optional Bluetooth/RF/LANC when using CONNECT.
