The Atomos Shinobi II is a brighter, slimmer, and more advanced 5″ HDMI HDR monitor designed for vloggers, photographers, and content creators. It features a 1920×1080 IPS touchscreen, 1500‑nit brightness, improved ergonomics, and highly efficient power consumption that enables full‑day operation from a single NP‑F battery.

Shinobi II introduces USB‑C camera control with status indicators for Canon, Panasonic, Sony, and Z CAM cameras, with future firmware expanding support to FUJIFILM, Nikon, OM System, and Sigma. Powered by the redesigned AtomOS 11, it offers a cleaner interface, faster operation, and advanced monitoring tools including false color (Atomos, ARRI, EL Zone), waveforms, zebras, histograms, and frame guides for cinematic and social media formats.

With Touch‑to‑Focus, supported cameras allow focus point selection directly on the Shinobi II screen. A new shutter release function enables photo capture from the monitor—ideal for HDR bracketing, focus stacking, and multi‑exposure workflows. Camera status indicators provide real‑time feedback on recording formats, battery life, and internal recording activity.

The HDMI 1.4 input supports DCI/UHD 4K up to 30 fps and 1080p up to 60 fps. HDR preview modes (HLG/PQ) and up to eight custom LUTs allow precise monitoring of Log footage. The lightweight 7.4‑oz design includes anti‑twist mounting points, a central battery plate, and a locking HDMI/USB‑C adapter for secure cable management.

Power options include NP‑F batteries, DC input via dummy battery, and USB‑C PD (10W). The monitor can also output 13W USB‑C PD to power compatible cameras while maintaining camera control.
